What are your hours?
We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM. We are closed on Sunday.
Is Outpost Outfitters family owned?
Yes. Outpost Outfitters is a family-owned and veteran-owned business with deep roots in Maine.
Buying, Selling & Financing
What RV brands do you carry?
We carry Grand Design, nuCamp, Shasta and Ember RVs, plus Kropf park models.
Do you sell new and used RVs?
Yes. We sell new and used travel trailers, fifth wheels and motorhomes. We do not keep many toy haulers or motorhomes on the lot, but we can usually order one, so tell us what you are after.
Do you offer RV financing?
Yes, for RVs and park models. You can get pre-qualified in minutes with no impact to your credit score, or start a full secure application. We take your details to the lenders we work with and come back with what you qualify for and what the monthly payment looks like. Financing is subject to credit approval.
Do you take trade-ins?
Yes. We appraise your camper against what units like it are actually selling for right now, and the figure applies straight to anything on our lot: new, used or a park model. We will appraise any brand, and there is no obligation to buy.
Can you sell my RV for me?
Yes, through our consignment program. We handle the photos, listings, showings, negotiation and paperwork, and there is no upfront cost because our fee comes from the sale price. You set your minimum and approve every offer.
Service, Parts & Storage
Do you service and repair RVs?
Yes. Our factory-trained technicians handle mechanical and drivetrain work, electrical and 12V systems, plumbing and water systems, slide-outs, awnings, A/C, furnaces and appliances. We diagnose the issue, explain what we found, and you approve a clear estimate before any work begins.
Can you order parts for my RV?
Yes. Our special-order parts counter sources the specific part your unit needs, for any make, not just the brands we sell. You get the price and lead time up front, then pick it up in Gray, have it shipped to your door, or have our service team install it.
Do you winterize RVs?
Yes. Our basic winterization drains and flushes the freshwater system, bypasses the water heater, blows out the water lines and pumps RV antifreeze through the system. We can also winterize a refrigerator water or ice maker line, dishwasher or washing machine. Call our service team at 207-383-7893.
Do you offer winter RV storage?
Yes. We offer seasonal outdoor RV storage at our Gray, Maine location for up to seven months. RVs are not plowed or shoveled out during the winter, and access during the storage period is by appointment only and may not always be possible because of snow.
Park Models
Are there any park models for sale in Maine?
Yes. Outpost Outfitters in Gray, Maine sells new Kropf park model RVs, with units on the lot and more arriving. We carry all four Kropf series (Eldorado, Island, Lakeside, and Canadian), and we can help you order a floorplan built to your spec.
Can you live in a park model RV year-round?
Yes, as long as two things line up: the unit is equipped for cold weather, and the place it sits allows year-round occupancy. Many park models are built for four-season use, but plenty of campgrounds and towns limit how long you can live in one, so check the rules before you buy.
